Hello living things in space I am 5/6A's representative for Industry.

I am focusing on renewable energies keep checking my page to know more! :)

Screen Shot 2012-11-14 at 2.16.36 PM.pngFrom the back

The big yellow box on the back is one of the main places where people are held. It can hold about 2,500,000,000 people.

Screen Shot 2012-11-14 at 2.16.51 PM.pngfrom the side

See the big green box that is the main people holder. It holds 5,000,000,000. The lower triangle on the front is the control panel

Screen shot 2012-11-14 at 8.30.54 PM.pngThis is what the escape pods look like

All the escape pods hold 1,000,000,000 each. The pods can compact so the dome looks like a deflated beach ball.
the orange bo can compact so they are the size of a small room about 5m by 7m. The dome is made of glass but
you can tint in depends how you like it.

Name:

Voyager to our Destiny 1.21.17.15.17.1

Length:

4,500km

1,500km

Width:

3,000km

Volume:

20,250,000,000 km.

Number of passengers:

10,000,000,000(7,000,000,000 for humans +3,000,000,000

for other things eg: animals plants etc)

Cargo:

Carries mostly people but it can carry a few other things like food,

water, materials, Medical resources anything like that.

Landing system:

parachutes, rockets, air cushion, airbags if needed

Materials used for main body:

aerogels + titanium + aluminium.

Materials used for heat shield:

6 Carbon graphite + aerogels

Any other notes:

Escape pods hold 1,000,000,000 people each pod. ship holds 10pods

and the pods compact so they all can fit in one of the wings
(blue and red things sticking out from behind the control panel).

Energy source
pros
cons
recommendation
Tidal power
It is a renewable energy.
Power plants last a long time.
Expensive.
Massive waves/tsunami's may break it
We should build tidal barrages so water comes in where the generators are when the tide is changing.
See below for diagram
Solar energy
It is a renewable energy.
People can save money on bills
We get lots of sunlight.
Solar panels are expensive.
we have to place them in.
good places to get lots of sunlight.
Solar panels should be placed on houses
buildings and also in the country where there
is lots of sun and out of cities or towns where
it is hard to get power.
Wind energy
It is a renewable energy.
Doesn't take to long to set up.
There isn't always wind.
Wind turbins are expensive.
You should place them on fields hills/mountains are the most useful because they get lots of wind
Biomass
Renewable energy
Low carbon cleaner than fossil fuels
Can convert waste into energy so
it helps with waste problems
Requires water to grow so it is bad in droughts
Some fuels are seasonal
Not totally clean when burned.
Overall process can be expensive.
We should build some generators near places that create quite a lot of waste.
Geothermal
Renewable energy.
Generators are built underground
Aurora's earth might not be hot enough.
to make the energies.
generators are expensive.
We need to either mine or find a big enough
space to put the generators in.

Aurotonium/
nuclear energy
Non radioactive
Creates lots of power
You have to mine to find it.
Needs large area.
Chance of minor explosion.

Hydroelectricity
It is renewable
Can be stored in dams incase of
drought
Big dams are the most effective but take ages
to build and cost heaps.
We should build dams at the bottom of mountains and have water flowing down the mountain so we can have 2 types of energies.
